Food analysis is important due to the increase in the use of GMOs (genetically modified organisms) in many agricultural products such as corn, soybean, wheat, tomato, potato, sunflower and canola.
While the increase in yield and increase in food nutrition in agricultural areas are seen as the advantages of GMO use, the use of GMOs is limited due to the harmful effects of GMO use on human health and ecosystem. GMO analyzes aim to detect and prevent risks arising from modified organisms and products, and to protect living health, environment and biological diversity.
