The pomology laboratory is working on distinguishing fruit varieties from each other by taking into account their characteristics such as size, shape, fruit stalk, flesh, shell and seed. Apart from these studies, studies on resistance to weather conditions and diseases and yield, resistance of fruits to packaging and transportation, and fertilization biology are also included in the working areas of pomology laboratories.
Centrifuge, Incinerator, electrophoresis, Thermohygrograph are among the laboratory products used in analyzes carried out in pomology laboratories.
